Key Stage 1
Ages 5-7 Years
Qaida
Learning Arabic letters, pronunciation, harakat (zabr, zayr, pesh), tanween, maddah, leen letters, and elongation.
Namaaz & Du'as
Memorisation of Ta'awudh, Tasmiyyah, 4 Kalimahs, 17 Masnoon Du'as, wudhu (theory & practical), and Islamic manners.
Islamic Studies
Basics of Islam – 5 pillars, belief in angels, destiny, Judgement Day, Hajj, Zakaah, stories of Prophets (Adam, Nuh, Ibrahim, Musa, Isa, Yunus, Yusuf, Sulayman, Muhammad ﷺ, etc.), heaven & hell, and key acts of worship.
Akhlaq/Tarbiyyat*
Respect, good manners, role model behaviour, classroom rules.
Prophet Stories*
Selected stories to inspire love and understanding of the Prophets.
* Subjects are not assessed but taught for development and understanding of the child
Key Stage 2
Ages 8-9 Years • Strengthening foundational knowledge and practice
Qaida & Juz Amma
Completing Noorani Qaida, beginning Qur'an recitation with tajweed.
Namaaz & Du'as
Expansion of KS1 learning – Imaan Mujmal & Mufassil, 7 articles of faith, 6 Kalimahs, full Azaan with additions, Salah (intention to tashahhud, durood, du'as), 3 Du'as after Salah, 17 Masnoon Du'as, Islamic manners.
Hadith
Memorisation of 40 short Ahadith in Arabic & English.
Islamic Studies
Aqidah (beliefs about Allah, prophets, books, angels), Fiqh (wudhu, ghusl, 5 pillars, salah, Islamic months), History (Prophets Adam, Nuh, Ibrahim, Muhammad ﷺ), Akhlaq (manners at home, school, cleanliness, respect for teachers).
Tafsir
Introduction to themes of Surah al-Baqarah.
Key Stage 3
Ages 10-12 Years • Developing fluency, Salah, Seerah, and deeper understanding
Qur'an Recitation
Ongoing recitation with tajweed (ghunna, qalqalah, ikhfa, idghaam, etc.).
Namaaz & Du'as
All from KS2 plus Ayat-ul-Kursi, Dua Qunoot, Tasbih Taraweeh, and practical Salah.
Hadith
First 20 Ahadith with translation.
Islamic Studies
Aqidah:
Belief in Allah, His prophets, His books, companions and family of the Prophet ﷺ, afterlife.
Fiqh:
Mukrooh & Mustahab acts of wudhu, ghusl, tayammum, faraid of salah, method of salah.
Seerah & Shamail:
Life of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ – childhood, marriage, first revelation, early da'wah, Year of Sorrow, Miraj, pledges of Aqabah.
Akhlaq:
Qur'an etiquette, masjid manners, prophetic character, eating/drinking manners, neighbours, valuing time, giving gifts.
Last 15 Surahs
Memorisation (Arabic & English translation).
Tafsir
Continued study of Surah al-Baqarah.
Key Stage 4
Ages 13+ Years • Consolidating knowledge & preparing for adulthood
Qur'an Recitation
Completion of Qur'an recitation with tajweed, fluent and clear reading.
Namaaz & Du'as
All previous content plus Janazah prayer (intention, thana, duas for adult, boy, girl), 3 makrooh times of Salah, number of raka'ats for each Salah.
Hadith
All 40 Ahadith with translation.
Islamic Studies
Aqidah:
Mercy and forgiveness of Allah, signs of Qiyamah, Jannah & Jahannam.
Fiqh:
Types of impurity, ghusl, tayammum, salah times, breakers of salah, sajdah sahw, Friday prayer, fasting, hajj.
Seerah & Shamail:
Hijrah, arrival in Madinah, masjid building, battles (Uhud, Ahzab), lineage and blessed appearance of the Prophet ﷺ.
Akhlaq:
Dhikr, kindness to parents, avoiding backbiting, jealousy, pride, visiting the sick, halal & haram foods.
Last 25 Surahs
Memorisation in Arabic, last 10 Surahs in English translation.

Deeper study of Surah al-Baqarah.
